On Tuesday October 20, ION and 200 guests celebrated the delivery of Zilverhof residence in Diegem. This project along Woluwelaan has sold out completely and comprises 108 luxury assistance flats with various communal areas. The festive inaugural reception was preceded by a speech of, among others, professor in Social Gerontology Dominique Verté (VUB) and the mayor of Machelen, Jean-Pierre De Groef.
Assistance flats with all modern conveniences
The residential and care facilities at Zilverhof residence meet the expectations and needs of new generations of semi-elderly and elderly citizens. Built on a site covering 11,000m² in total, the flats provide a contemporary and modern mix of independent living and common services. The apartments are spread over three wings and they all boast a private terrace. A range of communal areas offer enhanced comfort and social interaction. Residents have access to a beautiful courtyard with a petanque court, a restaurant and bar with a spacious terrace, a multi-purpose room for (family) gatherings, a space for fitness/wellness/physical therapy and a hair salon.
Independent living with common services
A multitude of care services make life at Zilverhof more comfortable. Residents have access to housekeeping, laundry, ironing and handyman services or hot meals, can participate in group activities, or receive the help of an assisted living care assistant and resident janitor. A Carrefour Express supermarket was integrated for daily shopping and public transport is within walking distance, providing access to the village centre. Finally, there are 64 semi-underground parking spaces.
