ION and Leasinvest join forces for the development of a state-of-the-art office building in the heart of the European district in Brussels
Project developer ION is set to start redeveloping a prestigious office building in a prime location in the European district of Brussels. For this purpose, the fast-growing real estate group has just concluded a partnership with the public regulated real-estate investment company (OGVV) Leasinvest Real Estate.
Prestigious office building
Late last week, ION signed a binding agreement with Next Estate Income Fund (NEIF), managed by BNP Paribas REIM Luxembourg, for the purchase of 100% of the shares in the company NEIF Montoyer SPRL, holder of a long lease with a remaining duration of 94 years on the office building Montoyer 14, located on the corner of rue Montoyer and rue de l'Industrie in BE-1000 Brussels. In other words, in the heart of the European district. ION, which has been involved in this transaction since the beginning, will manage the entire development process for this unique project in consultation with Leasinvest.
The current tenant, the United Nations, will remain in the building until the beginning of next year. The new state-of-the-art office building will comprise some 4,000 m2 of offices and will become a new reference in the "new way of working", which will stand out in terms of sustainability, architecture and experience.
The experienced and renowned architectural firm Archi2000 from Brussels was chosen for the design.
