ION acquires a site in the heart of Mons
Project news

Upgrading the neighbourhood
ION and the Limburg-based builder-developer Kumpen recently set up a joint venture. This new enterprise has purchased a project site in the southern part of the country and both companies have 50% ownership.
In the heart of Mons, just 100 metres from the Grand Place, they have acquired a building that was previously owned by Connectimmo (the Proximus group’s real estate company). This ambitious and unique project, on a plot of land covering approx. 10,000 m², will involve a large-scale redevelopment with a variety of purposes, aimed at contributing to the upgrading and revival of the neighbourhood. However, development will not begin immediately, since the previous owner will continue to lease the building until the end of 2019.
